Introduction to INSULATOR:- Transmission line conductor are bare and do not have any insulated coating over it. To maintain safety and necessary clearance between live conductor and metal structure of the support ,insulator are mounted . These insulator provide insulation of high voltage wire with the metal structure and also provide support to the conductor. Insulators are also used in providing support to the busbar conductor and other live high voltage equipment terminals.  Insulator materials:- These are the basic three types of material used to make insulator:- 1.PORCELAIN 2.GLASS 3.SYNTHETIC RESI N THANKYOU FOR READING THIS

Why Earth Pin is Bigger and Thicker?

Image
You must have seen a plug or a socket in which  one pin or point is big and thick as compared to other two pins  which are equal to each other.  So why is that soo ? Here is the Answer to your question So there are basically 3 major reason behind this and lets have a look over these. 1 . Plug is inserted Properly-  The plug consists 3 pin so if all pins will be equal then someone might put earth pin in the phase or neutral due to which connection will get wrong and if Earth pin is connected to phase then the current will flow in the machine outer body which can cause major damage to one touching it. 2. Earth pin will enter first and exits last-  As we know earth pin is used to protect us from any leakage current in any machine's conductive body. So we must put earth pin before Phase to be safe from any fault current occurring later, and due to this only Earth pin is taken out at last so that if any fault currrnt is their then firstly supply is disconn...

5 Myths about Lightning

Image
Soo You have seen Lightning during bad weather or in Rainy days. Do you also heard about several myths about lightning from your parents or from your grandparents. Lets have a look to them and check that weather they are myth or not.     So lets begin; 1. Lightning never strikes twice at the same place. " So it is completely wrong,Lightning can strike anywhere it want their is no such place where it will strike or not." 2.  Lightning strikes only at tall buildings. So have a look to the image below,This is the tallest building and it face about 25 Lightning strikes in a year. Soo its right but you may have also heard that some Village also faces Strike, how come their are no tall building. "Lightning does not see height it strikes where it wants." 3. If you're stuck somewhere then being under tree is best. So it is not correct even it is very dangerous to ones life. "Trees have positive charge which help in lightning and if tree get ...

Why Sound of Thunder is heard Later than we see Lightning???

Image
So You must have this question in your mind that Does Lightning and sound is produced at the same time or not because Lightning is seen Before we heard Thunder Sound . So as shown in above image We can understand that lightning and sound have a lot a difference between their respective speed and the Winner is light as it has more speed than of Sound and it is the answer to your question.  Lightning is produced because negative charge collides with positive charge in clouds or sometimes with Ground which have positive charge. One more thing is that they both are produced at the same time. The sound is produced because the light have a lot of heat which replaces the cool air in the atmosphere and thus Thunder sound is produced... So I hope you got the answer to your question do tell your friend about the reason behind this...

Why LOW VOLATAGE problem arises during Hot season??

So I hope that you Mast have experience low voltage problem in your life. So what are the reason behind this is it necessary that during hot seasons the voltage will become Low or there are some factor that affects the low voltage problem. So it is not necessary that every time voltage will become low it is generally due to some factors and environmental condition due to which the voltage supplied become low at some places of distribution. Let's have a look upon some factors which affect low voltage during hot seasons- 1. Overloading in Transformer- So as we can understand that overloading is one of the cause of Low Voltage as Transformer gets more number of Connections beyond its Capacity then the load on Transformer Increases which result in Low Voltage Output. 2. Increase in Power Demand during peak hours-  We all know that during Afternoon the demand of power increases, because that is the time when ACs,Coolers etc are working together which require high power and that is the r...

What is Autotransformer? Advantage Disadvantage and Application

Auto transformers is an single winding device,In which power is transferred inductively as well as conductively. The working principle of auto transformer is same as conventional two winding transformer. ADVANTAGES: 1.It is portable 2.Efficiency is high 3.Voltage regulation is superior 4.Copper loss is less 5.Resistance and leakage reactance is less 6.Less copper material is required hence cost as well as size is less compared to two winding transformer. DISADVANTAGES: 1. Impedance is low Hence short circuit current will flow for the short circuit in secondary winding. 2. If a section of a winding common to both primary and secondary is open full primary voltage appears across the secondary resulting higher voltage on secondary which is dangerous. 3. Do electrical separation between primary and secondary which is risky in case of high voltage level. APPLICATION: 1. Used as starter for rotating device. 2. Used as variac. 3. Used as a furnace transformers for getting required voltage supp...

Why Series connection is not used in house??

So we all are aware of series and parallel connections. So have you ever thought of which connection from both of them are used in our houses and which are more suitable?? So here is the answer to your question.. So as we know in series connection if we connect two appliances together then two or more appliances are connected from head to tail with each other which result in same current in both the appliances. But the drawback comes here that if any single appliances get failed then the current will not be able to move further which can result in no current forward. For example: if we connect one fan and one bulb together in series and if we switch ON both of them and somehow Fan do not work then the power will not transferred further and bulb will also not glow. But now in the case of parallel connection the appliances are joined parallely due to which the current are different in different branches according to the need of electrical appliances so if any appliances get failed then i...

Why Don't birds get shocked while sitting on a Electric Line.

Why don't birds get shocked while sitting on a electric transmission line? Everyone must have thought of this question ones in a while,so have you ever thought why is this soo.. So the reason behind this is the Incomplete circuit for current to flow i.e., From Phase to Neutral. Every circuit needs (positive and negative for DC) and (Phase and Neutral for Ac) to flow  a current in any wire.  When the bird sits on a electric line then it sits on a Phase or a Neutral wire due to which the circuit remain incomplete which results in no current flow in birds body and it save the birds.. SPECIAL CONDITIONS.... If any big bird come to sit and some how bird's wing or body touches the other wire and circuit get complete from Phase to Neutal then it might cause a flow of current in bird's body and result in death of the bird.. Their is One more reason to this that the birds legs have very high resistance which does not allow current to enter in birds body as it act as a Insulator. As ...

Types of Winding in Transformer ⚡⚡

So we must have thought of winding types used in Electrical devices like Transformer. Here are all of it you should know: Transformer is usually divided by its types of core used on which winding is to be done. 1. Core type- In this type winding is done at outer limbs of the core. 2. Shell type- In this type winding is done at the inner limbs of the core. Concentric type winding are done in devices like Transformer, which are about 4 types listed below- 1. Spiral/Cylindrical type winding -Multilayer winding 2. Helical type winding  -Single Helical Winding -Double Helical Winding -Multi Helical Winding 3. Crossover type winding 4. Disc/Continuous type winding

Why Power Cuts During Rain and Bad Weather..

Soo as we all have experienced power cut during abnormal weather i.e., Rain⛈️,Heavy Wind, etc, Soo why is that? Here is the answer to it: As Most parts of cities are still in developing phase and the power supply is usually done by overhead medium that is by the use of poles near the roadside.  So their have to be Some security from it to Human. So Their are many reasons to it but some are listed👇 1. Lightning⚡  2. Maintenance⚠️ 3. Windy Rain🍃 4. Overloading➿ ~Lightning is a natural during Bad weather.. So their are chances that it catches the contact with Electrical transmission line further which can cause a damage to the domestic circuits, appliances. ~Some time wire are soo old which results in breaking of it during Heavy wind. So it can bring Current at surroundings. ~Windy rain can cause the poles breaking,or their are some chances that any tree fall on Electrical Line further which also can result in Current to near places.  ~Some times wire are touched with eacho...

why Bulb Light dim when in parallel heater is ON🔥

The light of bulb get dim when in parallel heater is ON because we know that Heater resistance is less it starting from Bulb resistance and current start flowing through the heater more, but when heater is fully energised then its resistance increase which results in low current and remaining current go back to the bulb after which bulb light get increase.. Soo this is the reason why after some time bulb get backs to its original capacity... Youtube video👇 https://youtu.be/Gwjg0Q-JUcE Thanks for reading..

Which Substance is used in Electric Heater?🔥

We all have used Heater in our life. But have your mind ever get diverted towards the wire used in heater giving heat to us.. Soo, I'm directly coming to the main point that what is it? And why is it? The answer is simple that the element or substance used in Electric Heater is "Nichrome". It is called Nichrome wire. Nichrome is a alloy which is made by the combination of Nickel and Chromium. Now the question arises why?? So Nichrome is having high resistance which is a good factor for generating heat. It's melting point is also high. Other materials can also do the same but the problem is that they start getting oxidation which result in damaging of wire.👍 So, Nichrome is best for your Electric Heater... May you got this properly.... Thankyou
